Ministers of Health Conduct Site Visit to the Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility

Port of Spain, May 13, 2025: The Honourable Dr. Lackram Bodoe, Minister of Health, accompanied by The Honourable Dr. Rishad Seecheran, Minister in the Ministry of Health, conducted a site visit to the Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility.

The Ministers were accompanied by the executive team of the Ministry of Health and representatives from the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT). The site visit facilitated a gap analysis, facility assessment and a review and verification of assets to determine the hospital’s readiness for utilisation. 

This visit is in alignment with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago’s key mandate, to bring to operationalisation the Couva Children’s Hospital, which will ensure improved healthcare access and services for the nation.
