Media Release - Arrival of Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccines

Port-of-Spain, July 6, 2023: The Ministry of Health received 5,760 doses of the Pfizer Comirnaty COVID-19 Vaccines at 7:20 a.m. this morning. This was as a result of a donation from the Government of Greece facilitated through the COVAX facility.

The Ministry advises that these vaccines are suitable for individuals twelve (12) years and older and as such, encourages those who have not yet been vaccinated or boosted to visit a health facility listed below.

The Ministry wishes to further advise of the availability of the following COVID-19 vaccines at the Health Centres listed below and confirms that the Pfizer vaccines will become available by Wednesday July 12th 2023.

  • SinoPharm COVID -19 Vaccines- 18 years and over (Expiring – 13/09/2023)
  • Johnson and Johnson- COVID-19 Vaccines- 18 years and over (Expiring- 31/07/2023)
  • Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines – 12 years and over (Expiring 30/09/2023)
