NCD Risk Factors

The NCD problem is growing rapidly because of the high and increasing prevalence of NCD risk factors in the population. There are several types of factors that increase the risk for the development of NCDs. Personal factors such as age, ethnicity, and genetic factors are not amenable to change. However, NCDs share common risk factors that are modifiable. Critical actions for prevention and control of NCDs must be directed at the modifiable risk factors which include:
