Protection of Children and Adolescents

We recognize the sensitive nature of data collected from users who fall into the Children and Adolescent Category - Ages 10 to 19 years.  We are committed to ensuring all data collected on this website is securely processed and protected. All data collected from TeenCare.gov.tt, including demographic and feedback data, will be anonymized wherever possible to prevent identification. 

Personal information of minors under 18 will only be collected with verified parental consent and will not be shared with third parties without such consent. Additionally, data from adolescents will only be used to enhance the safety, design, and functionality of the service for their benefit.

We do collect anonymously submitted data on the site on age and gender demographics from the teens and other users who engage with TeenCare.gov.tt to help us understand if the website is reaching the demographic or audience 

Website Feedback

We do collect anonymously submitted data on the site through our feedback form to help us tailor the design and content to be more relatable and appealing, ensuring it resonates with the specific mental health needs of the specific target demographics - Teens, Parents and Educators. This allows for a more personalized approach to addressing the challenges faced by adolescents in Trinidad and Tobago from the input submitted through this form

Use of Your Personal Data

The Ministry may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.

For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance and undertaking of the delivery of services delivered through this website or other products or activities belonging or being executed by  to the Ministry of Health
To provide You with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which are being offered by the Ministry of Health. 

To manage Your requests: To attend and manage Your requests to Us.

For other purposes: We may use Your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Service, products, services, marketing and your experience.

We may share Your personal information in the following situations:

• With Service Providers: We may share Your personal information with Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, to contact You.
• With Affiliates: We may share Your information with Our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include our joint venture partners or other aspects of our ministry that We control or that are under common control with Us.
• With other users: when You share personal information or otherwise interact in the public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside such as in the situation of shared public or private wifi networks.
• With Your consent: We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose with Your consent.

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Ministry will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

The Ministry will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You.
